Gudy van Poppel : Tactical Frame Lock Flipper

This Custom folder is made by the Dutch Master Blade Smith and full pro Knife Maker Gudy van Poppel.
Gudy is a very well know and respected Knife Maker in Europe for over a decade. His work is mostly know for his Damascus forging and traditional styled knives and axes.
This year, just before the Dutch Knife Exhibition he presented his first Tactical frame lock folder. He is working on a smaller, but with similar looks, liner lock folder as well. Later on the Tactical line will be e by several fixed blades, all with the same appearance.
My POPL already has been used and sharpened, so you might see some scuffs and buffs. I did Photoshop some rub marks out to show the knife initially comes from the maker.
This is 1st knife from the second series. The first series only had 12 knives and the difference shows on the back spacer with another pattern.
Full 6Al-4V Ti frame lock with hand grooved sluts and pocket clip. 4" blade made from N690Co blade steel with Hollow Grind.
Custom 440C hardened pivot, ball bearing system with hidden stopping. Nothing is CNC'd and only a few parts are cut by water jet.
Nice looking custom made pivot with his trade mark engraved on the blade.
The back spacer gets a new pattern with each new series, this way it is always clear.
No (3mm) stop pin in sight since it is hidden in the scales. Weight is 216 grams.
The cut out on the lock, and non-locking side are also done by hand.
The year and POPL logo engraved on the inside of the back spacer.
This picture shows a size comparison with my XM24.
